Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Chore Ace. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. The Service

Chore Ace is a family chore management application that allows parents to assign chores to children, track completion, manage pocket money, and reward children for completing tasks. The App is intended for use by families in the United Kingdom.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over and have the authority to manage the child profiles you create. Child profiles may be created by parents for children of any age.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• You are responsible for any child PINs you create and for ensuring they are kept secure.

5. Subscription and Payment

• Chore Ace is available on a subscription basis at £3.99 per month.
• A free trial period may be offered at our discretion.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will not receive a refund for any unused portion of the current month.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Referral Programme

• You may refer other families to Chore Ace using your unique referral link.
• If 3 referred users subscribe to a paid plan, you will receive 1 month free added to your account.
• Referral rewards are applied at our discretion and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the referral programme at any time.
• Fraudulent referrals will result in account suspension.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload any content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the App.
• Use the App in any way that could damage or disrupt the service.

8. Photos and User Content

When children upload photos as proof of chore completion, you confirm that:

• You have the right to upload the content.
• The content is appropriate and does not include anything harmful or illegal.
• You grant us a limited licence to store and display the photo within your family account.

Photos are automatically deleted after 3 days.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software within Chore Ace are the property of CC Project Controls Ltd and are protected by UK copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of the App without our written permission.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Chore Ace available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will aim to notify users of planned downtime where possible.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of earnings, or indirect losses arising from your use of the App.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms and Conditions. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at chris@chore-ace.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
